Gráfica Urbana

I embarked on this project some years ago. The idea was to produce a catalog featuring urban commercial graphics in the Spanish city of Valencia. This work was at the heart of my dissertation at San Carlos School of Fine Arts.

Portraying signs provides an anthology of a rich graphic heritage. It also contributes to preserving and disseminating signs. Furthermore, it enhances their socio-cultural value. The history of cities is captured by the memory of buildings, streets and facades. Valencia retains an ample collection of its commercial tradition through old signs.
